GF Cookie (and treat) Exchange

The holidays are a time to celebrate food, family and friends. So come and enjoy gluten free tasty treats and get tried and true recipes from other families. Kids of all ages and people who are kids at heart are welcome!

What: 100% Gluten Free Cookie and Treat exchange in Alexandria, VA.

  • Bring 3 dozen of your favorite gluten free cookies, candies, etc.
  • Bring a list detailed of ingredients, and email a copy of your recipe. This way, people know what’s in everything in case they have other food concerns.
  • Bring an empty container to cart away your goodies.
  • There will even be a Christmas PiƱata!

What can I bring?
Cookies, candies, and other treats all are great options! They absolutely MUST be gluten free (no wheat, barley or rye, and only GF oats). If you’re new to the diet or have questions, just ask Cheryl and she’ll be happy to help or direct you to recipes! Kamut and Spelt are NOT gluten free, and here are links for info on a gluten free diet.

*If you are are new to a GF diet or not a baker, no worries! They’ll be plenty of things to try and maybe you’ll be inspired for next time. *

There will be a few dairy, soy and egg free goodies available. If you have additional allergies or sensitivites, let Cheryl know.

The address is 3345 Duke Street, which is at the corner of Duke and N Quaker. The place can be easy to miss . Coming from Landmark, it’s the professional building/condos just past N Quaker and before to the firehouse. If you see the center with Giant and Staples, you’ve gone too far. Depending on traffic, you may need to turn into that shopping center to get across Duke Street.

Coming from Old Town, you want go up Duke Street, pass the Giant Shopping Center and turn right into the driveway just past the firehouse. If you get to N Quaker, you’ve gone too far.

Either way, follow the drive way around to the back, and it’s the last row of condos on your right. The sign at 3345 Duke Street says Physical Therapy for Health. You can park in any of the available spots.
